Uniforms
Uniforms and insignia can be purchased at the Scout Store in Asheville, located at 333 West Haywood St. It is open 9-6 M-F and 10-3 on Saturday. The pack has a limited number of shirts to pass down to new scouts. Those with extra shirts to pass down will bring them to the next meeting to share.
For those who can't make it to the Scout store, we will take uniform orders at an upcoming meeting!
Required Uniform Pieces
• shirt (navy shirt for K-3 scouts and tan shirt for 4-5 scouts)
• belt (belt loops with decorative emblems are awarded for advancements and activities, so a belt is needed to display them)
• insignia (staff at the Asheville Boy Scout store will tell you which patches and badges you need when you go, just tell them you are in Cub Scout pack 399 in Haywood County and they will know what you need)
Optional Uniform Pieces
• neckerchief
• neckerchief clasp
• cap
• pants (scouts can wear their own pants rather than purchasing official Scout pants.)

Youth Protection Training
Parents who will be volunteering with scouts are required to complete online Youth Protection Training. It consists of watching short videos and answering questions after each segment.
Complete the online program by clicking here (www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection). Those new to scouting will be asked to create an account first. Returning parents must renew their training every two years.
